Richard is graduating soon, and I'm really excited for him. We recently had a great portraiture session at Kiroli Park in West Monroe, thanks to the surprisingly cooperative weather. Here are some of my favorites!
I've known Tyrus for quite a long time so I was excited when he asked me to be part of such a huge milestone in his life by taking his senior portraits at the end of March. See below some of my favorites from his session!
Due to my mixture of skills and passions, the idea of being an architect to both visual and written content has always appealed to me so my dream job was always being editor-in-chief of a magazine.
In November of 2014, I came close to that dream when I became editor-in-chief of Seoulbeats, the Korean entertainment website. I've worked at Seoulbeats since just before I graduated from college in 2013 and continue to love it there. The community on staff and with our readers is excellent, and I've learned so much from everyone.
However, I've always felt that Seoulbeats had more potential to tap, and I still feel that there is so much more we can do with the name and brand. I've always particularly envisioned a more visual component to it and seen us as a Korean entertainment counterpart to Rolling Stone.
Recently, I ran the idea of a magazine past the editorial team to see if I was the only that felt that it would work for us. The other editors loved the sample I created and agreed to help curate past content to create Highlights, a quarterly magazine of articles from our site that we believe are worth showcasing for perusal.
I spent several weeks planning, several days stressing, and many, many hours doing layout design from cover to cover for the first issue. It was finally published this past Sunday night. Please check it out below!
